Banners Made to Your Size
Full-colour banners printed to any width and height, for shopfronts, fences, railings, scaffolding, events, venues and sports grounds. Every banner is priced by the square metre, with production in 3–4 working days and free standard UK delivery.
The right banner depends on three things: how windy the site is, whether people will see it from both sides, and whether the venue needs a fire-rated material.
Which Banner Do You Need?
| Material | Wind flow | Fire-rated | Best for | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PVC Banner | 440gsm PVC | None | Not stated | Everyday banners on fences, railings and shopfronts |
| Premium PVC | Thicker coated PVC | None | M1/B1 | Venues that require fire rating, and tension frames |
| Heavy Duty | 740gsm block-out PVC | None | Not stated | Double-sided banners, and banners with light behind them |
| Fabric Mesh | 230gsm polyester mesh | Some | B1 | Windy sites, with good detail and a denser look |
| AirMesh | 105gsm polyester mesh | 40–45% | B1 | The windiest sites, with bold, simple designs |
Choosing in Four Questions
Is the site exposed to wind? A solid banner on a long fence or scaffold catches the wind like a sail, which strains the eyelets and whatever it's fixed to. Choose Fabric Mesh, or AirMesh for the most airflow. AirMesh holes break up small text, so keep text at least 20mm tall.
Will people see it from both sides, or will there be bright light behind it? Choose Heavy Duty. Its block-out layer stops one side showing through the other, and stops sunlight washing out the design.
Does the venue require fire-rated materials, or is it going into a tension frame? Choose Premium PVC, rated M1/B1. Both polyester meshes are also B1 rated.
None of the above? Choose PVC. It's the everyday banner for most jobs, with the best reproduction of fine detail.
PVC or Polyester?
PVC banners (PVC, Premium PVC and Heavy Duty) give the sharpest print and a solid, weatherproof surface. They're delivered rolled, and their hems are welded.
Polyester mesh banners (Fabric Mesh and AirMesh) are lighter, let the wind through, fold for delivery, can be washed and are PVC-free, which some clients' environmental policies require. Their hems are sewn, with plastic eyelets that won't rust. A 3375 × 1780mm banner weighs about 1.9kg in PVC, 1.4kg in Fabric Mesh and 0.8kg in AirMesh.
Artwork: Check the Bleed for Your Material
Bleed varies a lot between materials, and using the wrong amount is the most common reason a banner arrives with a white edge.
- PVC and Premium PVC: 5mm
- Heavy Duty: 10mm
- Fabric Mesh and AirMesh: 50mm
On hemmed banners, keep text and logos at least 60mm inside the edge. Set your artwork up at the same proportions as the banner, at full size or to scale, and supply it as a PDF in CMYK. Each order is one design.
Every file is checked by a real person before printing, so obvious problems get flagged. We don't make changes or fixes to artwork — files should be supplied print-ready.
Hanging Your Banner
Fix through every eyelet, not just the corners. Bungee ties stretch in the wind and protect the eyelets far better than cable ties or rope. Eyelets come one in each corner with no more than one per metre in between, and closer or custom spacing is free on request. All banners are temporary signage and should come down in winds over 30mph.
Turnaround & Delivery
Production takes 3–4 working days. Turnaround covers production only — delivery is on top of that.
Standard UK delivery is free on all banners. Collection from our Burnley production facility is also available.
