Roller Banners That Work From Both Sides

A standard roller banner has a blank back. That's fine against a wall, but the moment it stands in open floor space — the middle of a hall, a shop floor, a corridor, a corner stand people walk around — half your audience sees nothing.

A double sided banner puts a printed graphic on both faces of the same stand. Same footprint, same setup time, twice the visibility.

When Double Sided Is Worth It

It comes down to where the banner stands.

Against a wall or a shell scheme back panel — single sided is all you need, and cheaper.

In open floor space — anywhere people approach from more than one direction. Island exhibition stands, shop floors, hotel lobbies, corridors, event entrances where footfall comes both ways.

As a divider — a double sided banner works as a portable partition between two spaces, with appropriate branding facing each.

The two sides don't have to match. Some businesses run the same design both ways for consistency; others use one face for branding and the other for a specific offer, a product, or directions.

The Print Material

Printed on 330gsm grey-back PVC, the same material as our single sided range.

The grey backing does something important on a double sided banner: it blocks light and stops the two graphics ghosting through each other. Without it, a dark design on one side would show faintly through a light design on the other — the most common failure on cheap double sided banners.

At 330gsm the material has real weight to it. It hangs flat rather than curling at the edges, resists creasing and tearing in transit, and the non-reflective surface reads cleanly under exhibition lighting without glaring in photographs.

Premium Aluminium Cassette

Double sided banners come with a premium aluminium cassette as standard rather than as an option.

That's partly weight — two graphics in one base needs a sturdier housing — and partly because a banner standing in open floor space is seen from every angle, including the base. There's nowhere to hide a cheap-looking stand.

A carry bag is included, as with all our roller banners.

Designing Your Banner

Three things are worth knowing before you set up artwork.

The bottom of the banner disappears. Roughly 100mm rolls into the cassette, and in a busy space the lower third is usually blocked by people and furniture. Keep logos, headlines and contact details in the top two thirds.

Supply both sides as separate artwork. Each face is its own file at full finished size. If you want the same design on both, supply it twice rather than assuming we'll duplicate it.

Resolution matters at this scale. An image that looks sharp on screen is being enlarged to two metres tall. Check photographs are genuinely high resolution at full size rather than upscaled.

Artwork Requirements

Supply print-ready PDFs at 800 x 2000mm finished size, in CMYK — one file per side. Include bleed as specified in the template, keep essential content clear of the bottom 100mm, and outline or embed your fonts.

Every file is checked by a real person before printing, so obvious problems get flagged. We don't make changes or fixes to artwork — files should be supplied print-ready.

Turnaround & Delivery

Choose a 1 working day turnaround for urgent orders, or 3–4 working days as standard. The first working day begins the day after your order is placed, and turnaround covers production only — delivery is on top of that.

Standard UK delivery is free on all double sided roller banner orders. Collection from our Burnley production facility is also available.
