A Frame That Stays Up All Year

Most outdoor advertising is temporary by accident rather than design. A banner cable-tied to a fence sags within a month, a roller banner can't go outside at all, and an A-board blows over the first windy afternoon.

An outdoor banner frame is the answer for anything that needs to stay put. A 3m x 1m aluminium structure that stands on its own, holds the banner taut under tension, and carries your message at roadside scale for as long as you need it there.

Single or Double Sided

Single sided — one banner, for a frame that sits against a wall, a fence line or a boundary where only one approach matters.

Double sided — two banners, one for each face. The choice for open positions: a forecourt, a car park, a roadside verge, a field entrance. Traffic passing in both directions sees a graphic either way.

The two banners don't have to match. One face can carry your branding and the other a specific offer, or each can face a different road with different messaging.

Reusable Frame, Replaceable Banners

The frame is the expensive part and it doesn't wear out. Aluminium doesn't rust, and the structure will outlast several campaigns.

Banners can be ordered separately, so when a promotion ends or your branding changes, you replace the graphic and keep the frame. That's considerably cheaper than buying a complete unit each time, and it makes seasonal campaigns practical — a set of banners swapped over through the year on one frame.

Standing It Up

The frame is freestanding, so it will stand on a hard surface without fixing. It can also be fixed down to the ground where the position is permanent or exposed.

Worth thinking about honestly: a 3m x 1m banner presents a substantial surface to the wind. On an exposed roadside, a forecourt corner or anywhere that funnels a gust, ground fixing isn't optional — it's what stops the frame becoming a hazard. On a sheltered site or for short-term use, freestanding is usually fine.

The Banner Material

Printed on 440gsm weatherproof PVC — a heavy outdoor grade, considerably thicker than standard banner media.

That weight matters on a tensioned frame. Lighter PVC ripples and eventually stretches out of shape where it's held under tension; 440gsm holds flat. It's fully waterproof and UV-resistant, so colours hold up through a summer rather than fading to pastel by August.

Designing at 3m x 1m

A wide, shallow format read at distance and often at speed. That changes the rules.

Very few words. Someone driving past has two or three seconds. Business name, one message, phone number. A banner listing six services communicates nothing at 30mph.

Work with the shape. Three metres wide by one tall is a strongly horizontal canvas. Stacked layouts leave dead space at either end; content ranged across the width uses it properly.

Resolution at scale. The artwork is being enlarged to three metres. An image that looks sharp on screen can fall apart entirely at that size — check photographs are genuinely high resolution at full size.

Note the 5mm bleed — larger than our standard 3mm, because of the size.

Every file is checked by a real person before printing, so obvious problems get flagged. We don't make changes or fixes to artwork — files should be supplied print-ready.

Production takes 3–4 working days from receipt of artwork. Turnaround covers production only — delivery is on top of that.
