A Fabric Stand Built to Stay Put

A tubular aluminium frame that screws into a heavy-duty base, with a printed stretch fabric cover that pulls over it and zips shut underneath. Every width stands 2.29m tall. You choose from six widths and whether the graphic is printed on one side or both.

The graphic is dye-sublimation printed on 260gsm stretch polyester, so it has no creases or glare, and it goes in the washing machine when it needs a clean. Frame, base and graphic pack into one carry bag. Indoor use only.

Sizes

The 600 to 1000 widths are upright banners, a sturdier replacement for a roller banner. The 1200 and 1500 work as a narrow backdrop behind a person or table. For anything wider than 1.5m, see the economy stands below.

Check the weight before you order. At 13–16.5kg, most of it in the base, this is a stand you carry from the car park to the venue, not one you take on the train. That weight is also what keeps it steady.

Premium or Economy?

The difference is the base. The premium stand screws into a heavy-duty base, which keeps it planted in a busy aisle where people brush past it or knock it with bags. Our stretch fabric economy stands clip onto lighter stabilising feet, so they're easier to carry, and they come in widths up to 2.5m.

Choose the premium for high-footfall shows, reception areas and anywhere the stand stays up for days. Choose the economy if you're carrying it yourself, need something wider than 1.5m, or want to spend less. For a curved shape rather than a flat panel, see our stretch fabric snake stands.

Single or Double Sided

Single sided is printed on the front with a plain white back. Choose it when the stand sits against a wall, a shell scheme panel or the back of your space.

Double sided is printed on both faces. Choose it for open-plan venues, walkways, reception areas and room dividers, or anywhere people pass both sides. It costs more than single sided, but a different design on each side costs no more than the same design on both.

Putting It Up

One person can assemble it in 5–6 minutes.

1. Snap the frame sections together, matching the numbered stickers.
2. Slide the graphic down over the frame.
3. Fasten the zip along the underside of the bottom bar. This is what pulls the fabric tight.
4. Use the allen key to screw the frame into the base.

Getting the side edges straight: there are hems inside the graphic that can sit unevenly on the frame's edges if you pull the fabric straight down. Start with the graphic twisted 30–50mm to the left or right, pull it all the way to the bottom — part of the back face will be showing on the front at this point — then grip both sides of the frame and twist the graphic into position. Skipping this is the usual cause of wavy edges.

What Goes Wrong, and Why

The frame shows through the fabric. The fabric isn't completely opaque. Strong light from above or behind, such as a spotlight or a window, can show the outline of the frame. Move the stand or angle it away from the light, and check the position before the doors open.

Wavy side edges. The internal hems have settled unevenly. Refit the graphic using the twisting method above.

The graphic looks slack. The zip under the bottom bar isn't fully closed. The zip does all the tensioning.

A design across the edge doesn't line up. Fabric moves slightly during printing, cutting and sewing, so the front and back never meet perfectly at the edge. On double-sided stands, don't run text, lines or detailed shapes from one face round to the other.

Cleaning and Replacement Graphics

Graphics are machine washable at 30°C without detergent. Dry completely before using or storing, or you'll get mildew.

The frame and base outlast the graphic. Replacement graphics can be ordered on their own, so a new design means a new cover rather than a new stand. Old graphics can be recycled with other textiles.

Artwork Requirements

Use the template for your exact width and number of sides. Templates come as PDF, Illustrator, InDesign and EPS, and they're set up at 20% of full size, so make sure your images hold their resolution when scaled up five times.

• Important content inside the green safe area line
• Everything on the Design layer. Turn off or delete the instructions and overlay layers before exporting.
• Fonts outlined, images embedded
• No template lines, boxes or markings in the final file
• CMYK only. Dye-sublimation can't reproduce Pantone colours, so convert them before supplying.
• PDF preferred, AI or EPS also accepted
• Double sided: supply both pages, even if the design is the same on each

Seams are sewn in black or white thread, whichever suits your design.

Every file is checked by a real person before printing, so obvious problems get flagged. We don't make changes or fixes to artwork — files should be supplied print-ready.

Turnaround & Delivery

Production takes 3–4 working days. Turnaround covers production only — delivery is on top of that.

Standard UK delivery is free on all stretch fabric premium stand orders, whatever the size or quantity. Collection from our Burnley production facility is also available. More than one design across an order costs nothing extra.

FAQs

What sizes are available?
Six widths: 0.6m, 0.8m, 0.9m, 1m, 1.2m and 1.5m. All are 2.29m tall (2.3m double sided).

How heavy is it?
13kg for the 600, rising to 16.5kg for the 1500. Most of the weight is in the base.

What's the difference between the premium and economy stands?
The premium screws into a heavy-duty base for stability in busy areas. The economy uses lighter clip-on feet, is easier to carry and comes up to 2.5m wide.

How long does it take to put up?
5–6 minutes for one person. The frame joints are numbered and an allen key is included.

Does a different design on each side cost extra?
No. Double sided costs more than single sided, but different designs on each side cost the same as matching ones.

What does the back of a single-sided stand look like?
Plain white fabric, which also covers the back of the frame.

Does everything fit in the carry bag?
Yes. The frame, base and folded graphic all go in the one bag.

Why are the edges of my graphic wavy?
The internal hems have settled unevenly. Refit the graphic twisted 30–50mm to one side, pull it fully down, then twist it straight.

Why can I see the frame through the graphic?

Can I use Pantone colours?
