Vinyl Rectangle Stickers

Waterproof rectangle vinyl labels, printed in Burnley — from 50, in four sizes.

Rectangle Labels That Survive Getting Wet

Full-colour rectangle stickers printed on waterproof vinyl, in-house at our Burnley facility. Unlike paper labels, vinyl doesn't go soft, wrinkle or peel when it gets wet. They suit product labels for bottles, jars and tubs that go in the fridge or bathroom, as well as equipment labels, packaging seals, and stickers for vans and toolboxes.

There are four sizes, from 40 × 30mm to 96 × 51mm, with gloss, matt or no lamination. Orders start at 50 stickers.

Sizes

SizeTypical use
40 × 30mmSmall logos, return address labels, small jars
75 × 50mmProduct labels for jars, bottles and tubs
80 × 51mmProduct labels, packaging, branding
96 × 51mmLarger bottles, boxes, promotional stickers

On a bottle or jar, measure the straight section of the container, not its overall height, and choose a label a few millimetres smaller so it doesn't crease over the curve. The 75 × 50mm and 80 × 51mm sizes are very close, so let the space on your container decide.

Vinyl or Paper?

Choose vinyl if the label will get wet, handled, chilled or used outdoors, or if it needs to last. You can still write on vinyl with a Sharpie or similar permanent marker.

Choose our paper rectangle sticker sheets if the label stays dry and you'll be writing on it often, or if you need a size we don't offer in vinyl. Paper takes ordinary ballpoint pens, comes in ten sizes, and is the cheaper option for short runs on dry packaging.

Lamination

No lamination is the most economical option, and the vinyl is waterproof either way.

Gloss laminated deepens colour and adds a scuff-resistant, wipe-clean surface. It's a good choice for labels that get handled a lot.

Matt laminated gives a flat, non-reflective finish that's easy to read under bright light and looks more understated.

Lamination adds protection against scratches and scuffs, not waterproofing. The vinyl is already waterproof.

What Goes Wrong, and Why

It lifts at the edges. The surface was dusty, greasy or damp when the label went on. Wipe it clean and dry first.

It creases on a bottle. The label is too big for the curve. Choose a smaller size, or position it on the flattest part of the container.

A thin white edge. The background didn't run into the bleed. Extend it 3mm beyond the edge on every side.

Text is cut off. Content was placed too close to the edge. Keep text and logos at least 3mm inside the cut line.

It's scuffed after a few weeks. Unlaminated labels that get handled or rubbed show wear sooner. Choose gloss or matt lamination for anything that gets heavy use.

Handwriting smears or won't stay. Ordinary pens don't work on vinyl. Use a Sharpie or similar permanent marker.
